You Need To Stay Alert When It Comes To Third Party App Stores

When it comes to the smart phones wars there is still a neck and neck competition going on between Google and Apple. While Apple was first out of the gate with its offering, Google’s Android soon caught up and is now the number one smartphone on the market according to percentages. Not everyone wanted an IPhone for a numerous amount of reasons so they decided to go with the alternative and they decided that they like it.

There are a number of different reasons why people like the Android based phones that are out on the market. Some of the phones are a lot more powerful than the IPhones on the market right now. And when we say more powerful we are saying that they are not even close to being in the same league. Some of the Android based phones being offered right now have what were considered supercomputers a few years ago under the hood. Some people like the fact that you can get either a large screen on your Android based phone or a small screen. Screen size is very important to people and everyone has their favorite when it comes to which one they enjoy. Going the Android route will give you a lot of flexibility when it comes to that decision.

And there are a lot of people out there who just like the fact that using such a phone just gives you so many options overall. That is where the philosophy between Android based phones and Apple diverge. Apple is more worried about a smooth user experience so they limit a lot of your options. The Android philosophy is that they want the user to be in control so they give you many options to choose from. And surprisingly one of these options is something that you may not have thought about before. When it comes to apps everyone just always assumes that you have to go to the Google Play store to get them. That is not always the case. Because you have so many options when it comes to your Android based phone you also have the option to go to a third party app provider.

Yes, there are other app providers that are on the internet. Not just iTunes and Google Play. While with the IPhone third party providers you need to root your phone to have access to them, when it comes to Android based phones you are already good to go. All you have to do is hit one button in the set up and you are able to download apps from third party stores. These third party stores range in what they offer and how much they offer for you to download. But a lot of these third party stores are actually popular and they will offer apps that are not available in Google Play.

But you do have to be careful when you are in third party app stores. Some of them have really tight regulations as far as what is permitted in the store and some of them just do not care who submits apps. They just want to be able to load their app store with product. Third party app stores like this give the other legitimate app stores a bad name. So when you go to visit a third party app store, you have to realize that you must check the reputation of the store and also the reputation of the actual app providers.

If you are not careful when you go into third party app stores then your phone could be the object that pays the price.
