A recent post here has shown that videos of popcorn being cooked with mobile phones is a complete fallacy.
However, with the rising cost of oil, alternative means of cooking should be looked into before time runs out.
Therefore, I thought I’d see if it was possible to use mobile phones to cook a simple meal of eggs.
Here is my recipe -
Eggs A La Mobile
The following is a guideline, actually quantities may vary.
Ingredients
Two eggs
Two mobile phones
A plate
One MP3 player
Method
Connect mp3 player to self. Enjoy your favourite tunes.
Place eggs on plate.
Place mobile phones either side of eggs.
Use mobile phone #1 to call mobile #2.
Set the first phone to auto-redial and ensure you do not answer the second phone.
Leave phone #1 calling phone #2 for approximately 2 minutes.
Crack eggs open and ensure they are piping hot before serving.
Cost
Personally, I have an old T-mobile contract that allows me to make free evening and weekend calls so that is when I will be doing my cooking.
Your costs may vary according to your service provider and contract type. However, they are likely to be far less than the cost of using gas.
