Am I joking?
Well, according to the following video clip, the internet will indeed cease to exist, at least in the form that we currently use and recognise, in the year 2012.
Or sooner.
Apparently, Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have a plan that involves converting the internet into a subscription based model, much like the pay-TV packages that are already common today.
Worse still, paying to use this new streamlined internet may only grant the user the ability to visit carefully chosen commercial sites, with less well-known websites being made almost completely unreachable.
After you’ve pulled your eyes away from the female presenter’s cleavage you may wish to contemplate if this story could be true.
Alternatively, is it merely a publicity stunt, designed to garner attention for those behind it?
What do you think?
