Should You Use A Paid VPN Service?

One of the best technologies that the minds in computer technology have produced is the VPN. Unfortunately, while this technology is available for the masses to use, it is not friendly enough for them to do so. Sure there are some companies that try to make this happen but for the most part it is still complicated and most people do not want to deal with it. That is what we are going to talk about in this article. We are going to explain what a VPN is, how it can help keep you secure, and ask the question, should you pay for the privilege.

What is a VPN?

The letters VPN stand for Virtual Private Network. It allows you to use a private network by tunneling through the internet. The internet is usually considered one big gigantic network and this technology allows you to create a mini network inside of it so you can piggyback off it in a safe manner. This way when you are connected to the internet and you need to grab a file that is on your desktop at the office, you can do it in a safe and easy manner.

The reason why it is safe is because the method of transmission is encrypted. That means that from the time that the device you are using is connected to the internet to the time it reaches the desktop at your job; you have encryption all around you. If someone was able to do a man in the middle of attack it wouldn’t work because they would not be able to read the data that they get. This is why even though the technology might have a slight learning curve; it is probably the best idea to use it. At least when it comes to work related matters.

Should you pay for it?

There are two methods to get technology like this. You can either go the open source method and get a copy for free. Or you can use a solution from a provider that will end up costing you. It really all depends on how technically adept you are. If you know your way around a computer then go open source. If not, then your best bet is to go with a paid provider. This way, if you have any questions then you will have someone that you can call right away.

  1. Before i’ve used a free VPN called CyberGhostVPN. The traffic that they gave me was only 1 GB a month. After that i realised a paid VPN is much better, with that i mean faster and more anonymous. I’ve looked on the internet, eventually is that is the best VPN for me. I’m using it now 6-8 weeks..
Ps: I’m in the Middle East, i use a VPN to prevent my ISP/Government trace my logs/browser history. The best option is to use SSTP protocol for this matter, what vpnaccounts provide too ;d

    • Hi Hejen,

If you liked CyberGhost VPN then it may be worth checking back on their site from time to time as they often do special deals on their paid service. Not sure I want to know why you need to hide from your government!

  2. Yes definetly we must pay for our online security solution. It doesn’t cost alot for this much benefit. I use some great vpn service providers so far. I can suggest and They are both extremely fast.
