Natalya Kaspersky Takes Shares And Board Position With G Data

Natalya Kaspersky, ex-wife of Kaspersky Lab co-founder Eugene, has acquired some 16.8% of the shares in German company (situated in Bochum) G Data Software AG who have specialised in personal and corporate antivirus solutions since 1985.

That volume of share ownership, mainly acquired from a German venture capital company, means that Natalya will be elected to the German security company’s supervisory board on the 23rd of October when they hold their next annual shareholder meeting.

Natalya Kaspersky has some history in this arena having co-founded Kaspersky Lab with her former husband back in 1997. Later, in 2003, she then took a leading role in InfoWatch, a corporate security firm.

According to G Data this isn’t the first time they have worked together – they and Kaspersky formed a technology partnership in 1996 after Natalya met G Data founder Kai Figge at CeBit in Hannover.
