Kali Linux – How To Get Armitage

If you’ve been patiently waiting for Kali Linux, from the creators of Backtrack, then I’m sure you’ll already know that it is now available for download.

What you may not realise, however, is that it is missing a rather popular tool – Armitage – that I’m sure many of you are very familiar with. Its a surprising decision but one that can be overcome fairly easily…

To get Armitage you will need to do the following:

apt-get install armitage

Before starting Armitage make sure that the postgresql database is running:

service postgresql start

If you get a missing database.yml error the type in the following:

service metasploit start

You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video

You may also need to restart your VM to get it working.

Alternatively, you can download Armitage directly from http://www.fastandeasyhacking.com.
