Of course this isn’t really a private detective who has been hired to track you.
In fact, it’s not even a scam designed for extortion.
It’s purpose is to get you to read the attached file which is supposedly a record of a telephone conversation.
In reality, it is a nasty piece of malware known as TROJ_AGENT.AAPN that you really wouldn’t want to have on your system.
If you receive the email above then don’t panic and don’t open the attachment.
Just delete it.

That sounds like the sort of email my ex husband would send.
“my name is not important now” made me laugh!
I know better now than to open suspicious emails with attachments!
