How To Monitor How Long You Spend On A Web Site With The Time Tracker Extension For Chrome

A couple of days ago I wrote about a Chrome extension called History Trend which offers you a wealth of information about your internet browsing habits. But what if you just want to take a quick peek at the total amount of time spent on each web site that your browser has visited? Well, the answer is another Chrome browser extension;  Time Tracker.

With Time Tracker you can quickly and easily see how long has been spent on all of the web sites that have been visited on your computer. Again, this could be handy for your own needs in terms of productivity, or as a basic monitoring tool if you wish to know what other family members, especially kids, have been doing on the net.

To install Time Tracker you firstly need to click on the link at the beginning of this post. You will see a screen like the one above and you need to click on the ADD TO CHROME button. After clicking on Accept in the next box the extension will be installed.

To run Time Tracker you simply need to click on the relevant icon in your Chrome browser. Its at the top right of the screen, as seen above.

This will pop a window up which looks like the one above. After a while the box will be much larger than the one you see there as you visit more and more sites. Time Tracker is a very quick way to see where you are spending your surfing time. Download it from the Chrome web store today.
