One of the most popular black hat hacker tricks is to attach their malware to anything that is popular on the internet for a short amount of time.

Whatever the trend is at the moment, they will hook their malware into it, and try to get people to fall for their trap.

During the summer time one of the more popular techniques to accomplish an attack such as this is to use the latest movies that are coming out to lure in victims.

In this article I will show you what to look for when it comes to spotting these types of attacks.

After I am done you will be able to search out information about your favorite movies without having to worry about being attacked.

How They Will Attack You

The black hat hackers out there will try many different ways to get your attention.

The most popular way is to claim that they have pictures of one of the stars of the movie naked and that you must click on the link to see.

Another way that they will try to attack is by promising to show you an exclusive clip of the movie – all you have to do is to download the file – some of these files are nothing but an .exe full of malware.

Other files are an actual flash video clip but the clip has been compromised to infect your computer as well.

There are several other ways that they will attack you as well but I think that you get the idea.

They will promise you something, only for the hopes that you download it and install the malware on your computer.

These attacks are a great way to target kids on your computer as well – kids will click on anything if they think that it involves their favorite movie.

How You Can Stop It

The first way that you can stop these attacks from being so effective is to look at the place that you are downloading them from.

If the site does not look reputable then there is a good chance that they are a fake.

Most of the movie studios that are out there will give exclusive content to web sites that are known entities, they will not give it to some run down web site that no one has ever heard of before.

Also, if it is a real sneak piece of footage then other people will have verified that it is real.

Let others take the chance first so that your computer does not catch a bug.

After enough people have verified that it is real, scan the file anyway.

This way if there is anything on there, your antivirus program will find it first.

You should really be aware of the scams that are happening this movie blockbuster season.

If you find exclusives on the internet, make sure that the source is trustworthy.
