Here’s another story that may either be weird but true or a hoax -

CHURCH EMBRACES HARRY POTTER, DESPITE OCCULT UNDERTONES

The Vatican has long defended the Harry Potter books and films, written by J.K. Rowling, saying that they are consistent with Christian morals.

In a recent press conference, the Rev Mr Fleetwood said -

‘I don’t see any, any problems in the Harry Potter series – the good v evil message of the books is consistent with Christian morality’.

In response to claims that the tales of magic add glamour and credence to occult beliefs, he said -

‘I don’t think there’s anyone in this room who grew up without fairies, magic and angels in their imaginary world.

They aren’t bad.

They aren’t serving as a banner for an anti-Christian ideology’.

‘If I have understood well the intentions of Harry Potter’s author, they help children to see the difference between good and evil.

And she is very clear on this’.

Finally, he said JK Rowling was

‘Christian by conviction, is Christian in her mode of living, even in her way of writing’.

Critics of the Harry Potter books suggest that an endorsement by the Catholic and other Churches is further evidence of a breakdown in moral and religious standards.

Others believe that the Catholic Church already has a number of Satanists amongst their number.

True story or hoax – what do you think?

I think the church may argue that it is simply an entertaining piece of fiction so I reckon it could be true.
