Hacker Uses Pussy To Taunt Japanese Police

Whilst many hackers seem to move in secret I guess an equal number actually want some form of recognition, even if that means not revealing their true identity.

So, how do you achieve global recognition on the sly? With a pussy of course!

Or at least that seems to be the plan of an anonymous hacker who has been leading Japanese law enforcement on a merry dance recently.

Back on New Year’s Day several media outlets received riddles via email offering them the “chance for a big scoop.” These riddles, once solved, led police to find a digital memory card attached to the collar of a cat near Tokyo.

Wired reports that it contained information about the “Remote Control Virus,” information only its creator would know –

“The memory card found strapped to the collar of the cat is said to contain information about the iesys.exe virus that only its creator would know. Dubbed the “Remote Control Virus” by the Japanese authorities, it’s allowed its creator to send out threats from computers located across the country, giving the police no clue as to where their hacker’s real location might be”.

Using this “Remote Control Virus” the hacker has sent bomb threats from school computers around the country. The Japanese police seem to be completely baffled right now and, after the National Police Agency (NPA) extracted confessions from four people who were later found to have nothing to do with the emails, the NPA chief has promised his cyber-crime unit would “brush up on its skills.”

How the story ended for the hacker’s cat is not yet known – lets hope he is ok!
