Ghana Gold Scam

Alhaji Karheem Nana Kufuor has a great offer here – his co-op are selling gold on the cheap.

How are they able to do this? Well, because they are the local ‘minners’ of course!

For just $10500 they will sell you some dust… I know, the cynical amongst you are now wondering if that literally means dust rather than gold dust but, hey, he sounds quite genuine doesn’t he?!?

I like the way that this scammer hedges his bets at the end of his email – he suggests that if you are not personally interested in this offer then you can pass this message onto someone else and claim a percentage!

I wonder if you would receive the percentage via a bouncing cheque, conveniently overpayed so that you have to send a refund via Western Union?

I buy second hand gold in the U.K. and was invited to buy gold from miners in Ghana.
The more frightening thing is that they did not what my money. They wanted me.
They promised me a luxurious place to stay and help with the local government and so on and so forth.
But the intention was quite clear. They wanted me to trust them enough to go there and let them control my safety.
I will never deal with anyone who has not at least shown me some colour and then I use Black Water for my asset retrieval but there are some poor greedy people who will find then self’s in a little hut until they have been drained financially if not exsanguinated literally.

I was scammed about buying gold in Ghana. He got my name from a dating site, all the pictures and imformation was for me to buy gold and it would be ship to me. I played dumb and said I will send my money to the bank and so on. In the end I found out it was a young Ghanaian man trainned how to do this. They gave him a phone a use of a lap top and so on. Even the pictures of a older rich white man. I guess I was one of the lucky ones who in the end told me the truth. I said I would adopt him and bring him to Canada. He explained how the Nigera men come in looking for someone poor who is good in spelling and writing english. People are greeding and want the gold to make money.. They say it is sent but is stopped half way for some imagration problems and you send money to get the last of the paper work through. I never lost anything or gave anything just my pride to like someone who pic is not real and a young poor black man writing on the other side of the screen. He now hopes I will help him and it is heart breaking.
