Galiliea Montijo has been a household name in her native Mexico for quite some time but only recently has she started to become known around the rest of the world.

WHO IS GALILEA MONTIJO?
Galilea was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, on June 5th 1973, but little else is known about her early years.
Arguably a natural beauty, she won a famous beauty pageant called La Chica TV in 1993.
That victory led to a lucrative but small time career in Mexican tv with her debut coming in 1995 on ‘El Premio Mayor’.
How did Galilea go from small time soaps to international recognition you may ask?
THE PORN FILM HOAX
Galilea Montijo would not be the first minor celebrity to (allegedly) let a very private and personal video of herself find it’s way onto the internet in order to raise her profile and thrust her way onto stardom.
Earlier in the year rumours started spreading about an X-rated video in which Montijo is seen engaging in sex with two men.
Despite her denials, the rumours continued and the searches on the internet related to Galilea Montijo just kept on increasing to the point where her online popularity eclipsed even the likes of Paris Hilton.
Cynics suggested that Montijo had deliberately allowed the video to become available on the net in order to further her career.
However, it turned out that the ’star’ of the movie was in fact Monique Fuentes, a 39 year old porn star from Colombia.
Fuentes has very similar facial features to Montijo so it is easy to imagine how the two may have been confused.
Of course, with the internet being what it is, stories were made up and spread like crazy, especially as Galilea is such a beautiful woman.
There are hundreds of stories and blogs about how Montijo has used ‘her’ porn film to further her career but, as with many hoaxes that go viral across the internet, the truth of the matter is somewhat different.
Ironically, whilst so many B-list celebrities recently have got themselves onto the A-list via some home movie making fun, Galilea Montijo has found her popularity enhanced by the efforts of the email and internet hoaxers who jump on bandwagons and send such stories across the world wide web.

So I guess the moral of this story is to not believe everything you read online!
