by Lee on March 1, 2009

in Antivirus

Last month’s poll, asking visitors which anti-virus program they use, received a fairly generous 104 replies.

poll

Here are the results -

AVG                           32 votes

Norton                      24 votes

‘Other’                      22 votes

McAfee                     10 votes

Kaspersky               10 votes

Panda                       6 votes

Antivirus Questions

These results pose several questions and I would love to hear your feedback on them -

1. If you use AVG anti-virus do you run the free version or have you upgraded to the fully paid option?

2. If you voted for ‘other’ could you please let me know which anti-virus you use.

3. How did you choose which anti–virus program to install?

4. Do you use the program purely for anti-virus or have you installed a full suite of programs from the same manufacturer in order to combat spyware and adware as well?

The free version of AVG works well enough compared to paid versions so that is why I use it.

I use it on one or two of the computers in my house and have to say I like it.
