Email Hoax About Corpus Christi Movie Which Depicts Jesus As Having Been Gay

As Easter is fast approaching the following email is quite topical.

At first glance the religious amongst you would, quite rightly, take offence at a film which reportedly depicts Jesus as being homosexual.

You may even be tempted to sign the e-petition in order to try and get the film banned.

There’s just one thing though..

The film doesn’t actually exist!

If you search around the internet then you will find that the same, or at least a very similar, email has been circulating since around 2001.

Please read carefully and comply – Thanks

A pornographic movie is being shot and is intended to show up in America soon, which shows Jesus and his disciples as homosexuals.

This is similar to a play that has been in the Theatre halls for a while.

It’s called “Corpus Christi” which means “The Body of Christ”.

It is a revolting joke of our Lord.

But we can make a difference, that’s why I’m sending this e-mail to all of you. Could you, please, add your name to this e-mail’s list’s end?

If you do so, together we WILL be able to ban this movie from being shown in America .. Apparently, some regions from Europe have banned the movie already.

All we need is a lot of signatures! Remember! , Jesus said: “That he who denies Me before men, I will also deny Him before my Father which is in heaven.”

(Note: Please, do not simply forward!!! Please, select all the text by dragging mouse down on this message. Copy message (CTRL+C), then select “compose” which gives you a new email page, position cursor in the message box & paste (CTRL+V). Edit any unwanted text, add your name at the end of the list and send to all your contacts.)

When the signatures get to 500 names, whoever is the 500th name, please forward this email to: And then start it all over again……

I don’t know what the original intent of the hoax was but in this day and age of phishing and spam I certainly wouldn’t recommend giving out your email address to strangers, and especially when replying to such bogus messages!

what the deal would be, anyway? 13 guys hanging together, eating, sleeping, bathing…. It was only natural for them to become homos… so what??????

He said “Love one another” SO BE IT:…..

I most definitely do agree that some “churches” do promote and allow agendas
that have no business in a Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. They are growing
more and more prominent daily. A sign of the times that Bible warns us about
concerning false doctrines, etc. For everything that Christ offers, Satan, the
present ruler of this world for a season and called the “Prince and Power of the
air (atmosphere around this earth) has a counterfeit of it. Ephesians 2:2 “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: By blinding the minds of men to the true gospel of God, Satan has set himself up as a counterfeit of the Creator God. As the prince of the power of the air, he broadcasts his evil, rebellious attitudes to all humanity, and except for a few whom God has called out of his deceptions, the whole world lives under his sway. However, Satan’s time as ruler of this present earth is growing short. So, all the more he is alive and well in any Christian church that either invites him in and or allows him to be.

Yes, firstly, I believe that Jesus is Love. Thus, he preached love of neighbor and foregiveness of sin. Still, we must admit that there are those who actively seek to destroy or weaken the beliefs of others in Christ. If this is their purpose in entering our churches, then we must of course be wary and protecft ourselves, our children, our brethren. But always, we must pray for them, for them that want to do us evil. For God’s power and mercy has no limits and He can turn around those who would destroy us, destoy his teachings. Let us take a lesson from St. Paul. He was against Christians until Christ, in his infinite love, power and mercy, turned him from a persecutor into a promoter and defender of Christianity. All things are possible with God. Hence we must be unceasing in our prayers to him for his Love and intervention. I also believe that the Most Blessed Virgin may is a power tool against those who would destroy Christ’s teachings. Let us pray to her too.

  3. Dionne Collins says:

If Jesus was really gay it would cause quite a stir but then again the Church seems happy to accomodate everyone regardless of what the Bible says anyway.

    • Lol, yeah, I know what you’re saying there Dionne!!

    • Zgreatarteest says:

Yes, like hypocrites or anybody else for that matter, gays should be
allowed to come into a house of God to seek the Lord and spiritual help where they can learn how to be set free. Many documented cases have. Unfortunately too many of todays churches do not follow Christ’s teachings and example of being all inclusive. Jesus did not shun anyone in His day and would, or rather, does not do so now. He caught a lot of flack about it back then when He walked as a man on this earth and He would again today
as do His current “true” disciples. A Christian church should not turn anyone
away if they are there to worship, learn, and share no matter who they are.
However, if they are there only to try bring in an agenda and its strife that is contrary to the God’s Word, be it homosexuality or something else, then that is another issue that would have to be addressed. And, then still address any unGodly agenda in love as Jesus has taught us. That does not mean to
tolerate someone’s unGodly agenda inside His house. A non-Christian will most likely not fully understand what I am saying even though they might probably think they do. I based that statement on non-Christian and also on some nominal (in name only) Christians as well as a baby Christian’s yet un-matured worldly mindsets that I have encountered over many years. We are obligated to try to help people, in His love, at the point of their condition at that time and not from where we pray they were.

      • Whilst I totally agree that the church should be open and inviting to all people, irrespective of race, previous religion, sexuality, etc, etc, do you not agree (as I think you mention in the 2nd half of your comment) that there is an agenda that seems to actually promote people of certain beliefs and persuasions such that it actually encourages those lifestyle choices?
