I guess who ever initiated the email hoax about Simon Ashton / Dr3AM_Rock realised that the name he had chose had become too well-known and that searching for it threw up results that debunked his message.
I think that because another very similar email is doing the rounds now, in addition to being passed around Facebook.
Here’s the slightly modified message, complete with the newly installed persona of Christopher Butterfield –
“Do not accept a friend request from a CHRISTOPHER BUTTERFIELD he is a hacker.
Tell everyone on your list because if somebody on your list adds him u get him on your list too and he’ll figure out ur computer’s ID and address, so copy and paste this message to everyone even if u don’t care for them cause if he hacks their email he hacks your mail too!!!!.
FORWARD ONTO ALL UR FRIENDS!!!!!”
As I’ve said before, there is no way that someone can access your email account simply by knowing your email address so don’t believe a word of this message of you receive it.
One thing that puzzles me though is why someone would create such an email in the first place???
