Bradley Manning Didn’t Turn To WikiLeaks First – Tried NYT, Washington Post And Politico

Extraordinary news here about Bradley Manning and his disclosures to WikiLeaks as it emergences that he actually tried to contact The Washington Post, The New York Times and Politico first.


Bradley Manning revealed today that he tried to give some of his more explosive confidential material to the mainstream media before eventually divulging to WikiLeaks.

Manning, who plead guilty to 10 of the 22 charges he faced, did admit to sending thousands of classified materials to WikiLeaks though. Whilst he has plead guilty to misusing computer data he denied the more serious charge of aiding the enemy which could carry a life sentence if he is found guilty of such.
