US singer Beyonce Knowles has, apparently, laughed off a hoax recording of her singing (very badly) ‘If I Were A Boy’.
The track, which has been extremely popular on the internet, was picked up by radio host Howard Stern -

Stern said he thought the Knowles would want to ‘strangle’ whoever was behind the hoax which made the singer sound extremely off-key.
Beyonce, however, must have seen the funny side as she was later quoted as saying that she was happy for the publicity it gave her.
The clip was actually created by an art student, Matthew Zeghibe who, when speaking to Rolling Stone magazine, said,
‘I was just trying to make a point.
I wanted to show people how easy it is to manipulate someone’s voice.
If I can do it with a clip I pulled off of TV, imagine what they are doing on records and during live performances’.
Do you think Matthew Zeghibe made his point?

Thanks this really made me chuckle.
Nice publicity for Beyonce that. Was amusing tho.
Yeah, true that, it probably helped raise her profile more than anything else.
OMG that is SO funny
I almost cried with laughter when I heard it!
